The RACE

I'm still poking around for a 2nd person to join me in The RACE. Victoria couldn't do it because she has some dance thing. I need a person 15-24. Tiffany and Rain are the only people I can think of. More likely Tiff then Rain. Oh, geez. There are only 72 spots left. I must figure this out really soon!

I forgot... about Drumheller & the airport

I did end up going to YYC and I also went to Drumheller. We had a lot of fun in Drumheller. The airport trip was good too. I got a WestJet playset and we had Swiss Chalet Express. I also got to see the new Air Canada colours.

The last 2 weekends and Idol Mania

My weekend was awesome! I got some great Idol media from the fine folks at idolforums.com :-D (Love ya guys). I also learned that Mario Vasquez withdrew from American Idol. No reason has been announced yet. Nikko Smith replaced him. I also went to the Calgary International Car & Truck Show. I saw lots of cool cars, including the smart car. These things are so cool! It only fits two people but they are just adorable. I was on the C-Train talking to some guy about them (because I had my smart brochure out and he asked about the show) and all of a sudden on the street there goes a smart car! I go "There's one" and Dad looks up and goes "Where". You weren't allowed in the Hummer H3 though. I was disappointed about that. I saw 4 different Mini's. They had a Mini Cooper S, a Mini Cooper Convertible, a Mini Cooper, and I think a Mini Cooper S Convertible (or a Mini Cooper Classic). Mini is another car I really like. smart and Mini are my new favorites. I saw (my now old favorite) the New Beetle too. It was a convertible. I thought it funny how all these odd cars are convertibles. Mini, smart, and the Beetle all have convertible options. I also saw a Lambergini. It was really fun overall except for the fact that my leg kept hurting. I got every single book that they were handing out too. It got annoying when they divided the books into SUV's and Cars. The onStar booth was funny. The lady asked me "Have you heard of onStar" and I said "Well, yeah. I haven't been under a rock". She didn't bother me after that. I also had to mourn the loss of yet another Canadian airline. Jetsgo bit the dust on Friday. It was odd because Rhonda at school had asked me "What's up with Jetsgo" and I just shrugged cause I thought she meant the safety investigation. I got home and Bo Kim signed on MSN and his screen name was something like "Ouch, Jetsgo is Jetsgone... Say goodbye to the smiley face". I was like "They're gone!?!?!". He explained what happened and I shook my head. It's good for WestJet though! Oh, and Buzz Lightyear had a preview. Robb and Elissa Alvey were on hand, and I got the video from the site. Looks like a really fun ride. (Sorry, I guess I should make myself more clear... Buzz Lightyear is a ride at Disneyland that they built for the 50th). I wore my Jetsgo button upside down all weekend. The Mac's clerk noticed it and went "Jetsgo, all those people stranded". I just kind of nodded. Jetsgo was Chantal's fav. (She just liked the happy face). Anyway, if you are not in tune with TV or the radio but somehow read blogs... info can be found at www.jetsgo.net . You will be refunded if you bought your Jetsgo ticket with a credit card. WestJet and CanJet are helping out Jetsgo passengers. Go to www.WestJet.com and www.canjet.ca for info on that. I found a cool website with fake airline pics. It had a Fokker 100 done in Jetsgo colours and it said Jets no go, and had the happy face frowning and crying. I also tried a demo of this game called Pizza Frenzy. It was really fun. It was so windy this weekend. The C-Train station was freezing. I got my ticket checked for the first time too. I don't know how they decide. It must just be random. I also saw a Ford GT. It was so out of anyone's price range. Dad liked this Lexus I made him go in. I think it was the one that is almost soundproof. The Corvette was also locked. I think that if you have a car show you shouldn't lock anything. I totally missed the Pontiac Aztek. I didn't think they made them anymore. Anyway, I listened to some music from Polish Idol 1,2,and 3. I was a little annoyed because yousendit wasn't working and I only got Polish Idol 2. Then the next day I tried again and I got both 1 & 3. I ended up chatting with graphic-princess though on MSN for a quick second. I also found the Nouvelle Star on iTunes along with Alexander, Will Young and Kurt Nielsen. I was surprised... no Hilary Duff but the Nouvelle Star? The newest iTunes additions are... How Soon Is Now? by t.A.T.u, Lucky Day by Kalan Porter, Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, Burn by Usher, Crazy In Love by Beyonce and Jay-Z, Where Is the Love by BEP, Holler by Spice Girls, I Believe by Fantasia, Light My Fire by Will Young, One,Two Step by Ciara, Jump in the Line by Harry Belafonte, She's so High by Kurt Nielsen, Party for Two (Pop Version) by Shania Twain, You're My Number One by S Club 7, (Oh boy) Je voulais te dire que je t'attends by Jonatan Cerreda, This Love by Maroon 5, Sunday Morning by Maroon 5, She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5, Who Do You Think You Are by Spice Girls, Move Over by Spice Girls, Maniac by Alexander. Yay! Hmm... I went to Chinook not this Sunday but last Sunday, and once again DDR is Out Of Order. As well, Initial D has no cards. Bleh! Nana promised to take me and Chantal to Ruckers one day. graphic-princess made me another blend featuring Nadia, Jaclyn, Janay, and Carrie. I love it. Very colourful and the text says My AI4 Girls. She also fixed up my guy one with a better first picture of Constantine. I'm going to miss Idol tonight though! I still don't have my TV back >:-(.
(Written March 15)

I had a okay weekend. I watched a lot of movies. I watched Shark Tale at home. It was okay. The DVD has a learn how to dance feature. The girl was like "Now, let's do it slower so you can learn the moves". I was like "Well, good". I also went to the Coliseum to see "Robots". It was funny. Paula and Randy have a line in it (American Idol Paula and Randy). I also did some more idolforums.com this weekend. _charlie uploaded another recap vid and Jason Greely's "Heaven". He's also going to upload this girl from Hvartski Idol singing "black or White" (I believe the girl's name is Neda) and Delon & Joy (Indonesian Idol) singing "The Prayer". I think Indonesian Idol has a amazing stage. I mean there are so many people in the audience compared to Canadian or American. I also re-logged on to Coke Music. Coke Music right now is teaming up with American Idol so when I saw on idolonfox.com that if you looked at some backstage photos that you got some free American Idol furni, I was like "Oh, yeah... Coke Studios". It had some serious issues though with the computer. It was lagging at first and then for some reason it said that it was closed. Then it wouldn't connect. When I finally got in again, I went to the American Idol Casting Call room to play my mix and it wouldn't load. Chantal then wanted on so I went to go play ESPN NFL 2K5 on PS2, and when I came back she was doing Habbo and it was lagging at the end too. This girl was really stupid, she said that because Chantal liked Hilary Duff she would get her banned cause she knew Blunique. I laughed. She ended up on Chantal's friend list. She obviously had a change of heart. I also got the Top 12 vids from idolmedia.tv. Seems like Anthony and Constantine are doing good. I also went to Sobey's and they were having cookie making. I made a cookie. I got my haircut too. We rented Raise Your Voice but we didn't get around to watching it. :-(. Oh, Buzz is officaly open! The FASTPASS is green. Green... seems to be a theme lately. St.Patrick's Day, I needed green thumbs up on Coke Studios, and green FASTPASSes. :-D. Oh well, I still got a request for a few Buzz FP's if they aren't running out too quickly. I would imagine they would run out quickly being a new attraction and one that is popular at WDW at Tokyo Disneyland. I was thinking that maybe I could do a Matt's Idols. It would be like _charlie's list but not as in depth and not as many.

So here are some of my favorites:

Manoah Hartmann (CI2): I thought she had a really good voice, and was quite unique. She was the one who had a car crash on her way to audition. She made it to Top 12 but got eliminated. My favorite performance is the one with the song from Shrek. I know what it's called but I can't spell it.

Alex or Alicja (Poland): I think she's just a bubbling burst of energy. Her World Idol performance was marginal. I like her bravery standing up to her own judge at WI. I only have MP3's of her but I like the one that they were playing in the background during her WI intro. (Man, I seem to be doing great on these song names).

Right now I'm drawing a blank for most of these. I guess CI and AI are my strong spots so... Here are CI and AI I guess.

Kelly Clarkson (AI): You know what... I really don't remember watching any of AI the first time around. I love the song "A Moment Like This" and I also thought she did great during WI as well. Our most successful Idol.

Kalan Porter (CI2): Oh, Kalan. The shy curly-haired kid from Medicine Hat. I mean who could forget Zack's comment when he walked in "Are you 12"? I was rooting for Kalan early on. (You got to support the Albertan). Week after week it seemed like the judges only have good things to say. But let's not forget his "I'm-so-happy-I-won" reaction. Theresa seemed more excited then him. LOL. My favorite performance would be I 3 way tie between "Awake In A Dream" "Long Train Running" and "I Can Only Imagine".

(You know, I could just change this to comments about a bunch of Idols)

Joy (Indonesian Idol): I like her hair. Reminds me of Amy Adams from AI. ^o^. But it's not the hair that matters. Her voice is very strong. I've only seen two vids of her and none are just of her. I saw a snippet of "The Prayer" with Delon (runner-up) and "Lady Marmalade" with a bunch of the other girls from II. (II? I guess that doesn't make as much sense as AI or CI :-D.).

That's going to do it for now! Sorry if your Idol isn't on there yet. I will do some more.

Boring....

My life has been quite boring. American Idol is on though! Yay! It's a good time to be a reality TV fan! Oh, wow It's time for lunch. More later, I guess.
